The NAISA Council invites scholars working in Native American and Indigenous Studies to submit proposals for individual papers, panel sessions, or roundtables. Proposals are welcome from faculty and students in colleges, universities and tribal colleges; from community-based scholars and elders; and from professionals working in the field. All those accepted to the program must be a NAISA member, or join the organization by the time of the May meeting. GO TO http://www.naisa.org for more information about NAISA and how to join the organization. Only complete proposals will receive consideration. DEADLINE for proposal submission is November 1, 2010, 5:00pm PST. Proposals will not be accepted after this date.

The NAISA Council encourages submissions of proposals for individual papers, panel sessions, or roundtables:
  • from scholars working in Native American and Indigenous Studies, including faculty & students in Community Colleges, Tribal Colleges, and Universities;
  • from professionals working in the field, including tribal government, Native organizations, and non-profits; and
  • from community-based scholars and elders.
The Program Committee will meet in early December to review all proposals and organize the Program. Submitters will be notified of the Committee's decision beginning January 15, 2011. If your proposal is accepted into the Program, all paper presenters and panel or roundtable participants (including Chairs, Commentators, and roundtable speakers) must REGISTER for the meeting and JOIN NAISA. Membership fees are nominal ($10 to $25) and members will save on Registration fees for the meeting.
